Country Park

Brandon Country Park is a small part of over 2,500 acres (1012 hectares) of the Brecks acquired by wealthy businessman, Edward Bliss, in 1821. Bliss’s dream was to transform his estate into a wooded park with exotic trees. Eight million trees were planted in just six months. A Tree and History Trail of just over a mile or 2 km allows you to enjoy the Country Park, experiencing some of its spectacular trees with their aromatic leaves and textured bark, whilst learning about the Park’s history.

Forest walks and walled garden.

Visitor Centre with toilets, plant sales, car parking and events throughout the year.

Disabled visitors are especially welcome. The car park is situated next to the Vistior Centre and incorporates accessible toilets. Some paths are suitable for wheelchairs.

The Park is open dawn to dusk.
