West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village & Country Park

At the heart of the 125 acres SSI site that makes up the West Stow Country Park is the Visitor Centre . It is the gateway to the Anglo-Saxon Village as well as an information point.

Facilities include:

Café and shop
Children’s play area
Nature walks
Picnic area
Bird hides

Anglo- Saxon Village

Walk in the footsteps of the Anglo-Saxons . Part of an early Anglo-Saxon village has been reconstructed on the site where excavations revealed oer 70 buildings.

The Anglo Saxon Centre contains objects fom the settlement site and a fashion display is the focal point of the exhibition which is suitable for all ages.

You can meet Anglo-Saxons – costume groups come to live in the reconstructed houses at Easter, Bank Holiday weekends, throughout August and School breaks. There are also other park and village events throughout the year.

Groups are welcome provided the visit has been booked in advance.
