The Brecks is a unique region of diverse habitats which support an impressive cross-section of British birds, offering exciting opportunities for the keen enthusiast. The star birds of the Brecks are the Stone Curlew, Woodlark and Nightjar.

Bird Watching

The Brecks is a convenient stopping-off place for the many bird-watchers who visit the North Norfolk and Suffolk coasts all through the year.

See these birds and a wide range of wildlife at one of the many Nature Reserves and Country Parks which have excellent visitor facilities. Lackford Lakes also has an electric scooter for those less able. Click here for further information on Nature Reserves. Click here for further information on Country Parks.

The British Trust for Ornithology has its headquarters at Thetford in the heart of The Brecks. Click here for further information.
