 | | The route
The route links with other bridleways, which make up a wider network of routes throughout the Brecks.
Santon Street
This was once the main road between Thetford and Brandon. The map covers 5 miles/8km of bridleway between Weeting Decoy and Two Mile Bottom, with links to Harling Drove.
The Weeting Bridleways
over 6 miles/10km of safe, waymarked bridleways link a deboxing site at Fengate Farm with Emily’s Wood and the Harling Drive, and with the Hockwold Bridle Link via Pilgrim’s Walk and Fossditch.
The Hockwold Bridle Link
almost 4 miles/6km of waymarked forest trails have been brought together, linking the Weeting Bridleways with the Hockwold-cum-Wilton Bridle Route, and avoiding fast traffic on the Weeting to Hockwold orad.
The Hockwold-cum-Wilton Bridle Route
an assortment of peaceful farm tracks and grassy trails, the Hockwold-cum-Wilton Bridle Route takes riders out into the Fen edge. There are about 10 miles/26km of routes waymarked by Norfolk County Council.
The Peddars Way Bridle Route (in the Norfolk Brecks)
this is a long-distance trail for riders, meandering close to the Roman road and linking with the Icknield Way Trail to the south. The waymarked route is 25 miles/65km long, passing through the Norfolk Brecks between Roudham Heath and Swaffham. Beyond it, the Bridle Route continues a further 38 miles/61km to the North Norfolk coast.
