 | | | | Volunteering in The Brecks
In the past, Volunteers have made important contributions to the conservation of the Brecks countryside, including: monitoring the numbers of otters, crayfish, newts, and other important species found in the Brecks, maintaining and conserving parks, heaths and nature reserves and helping to conserve rare Brecks plant life.
Volunteering is not only important for local wildlife, landscape and communities, it also offers immense health benefits for volunteers: doing practical work in the great outdoors is a great way to get or stay fit, and can help to reduce stress and generally improve mental health.
Although there are currently no volunteering opportunities with the Brecks Partnership, there are many sites within the Brecks that welcome volunteer support.
